Abstract

In this paper, from the aspect of interpretative paradigm we consider the distinction of understanding teaching process as responsibility towards the other (theory of moral orientation towards the other, E. Levinas) and teaching as an instrumental act determined by epistemology (humanist approach to education). In that sense, the authors, after analyzing the teaching process in humanist discourse, is determined towards the teaching as ethical relationship where teachers should give up their position „on the safe side of knowledge) and assume responsibility for the other (student), from the vision of his excellence and sensitivity.
