Sažetak
This article discusses the relationship between vocational education and the labor market. It provides an overview of the new challenges in the modern labor market and discusses the ability to respond to these challenges, especially in terms of vocational education. It discusses the concept of flexicurity in the modern labor market and its implications and significance for vocational education.
In conclusion, it suggests that education, especially vocational because of its coverage of young people, should respond to the challenges of modern society and prepare individuals to function in it. Vocational education should provide young people with not only knowledge and skills related to the profession, but also all the other components that make up employability in contemporary society: good professional competencies and key competencies that are the basis for lifelong learning and independent functioning in society and for the rapid adaptation to changes that are theonlythingconstantintoday'sjobmarket.
