Abstract

Although we are already deep into the second decade of the 21st century, the phenomena of influence longevity of managerial positions in business making is still not explored. Given the limited empirical research regarding the influence longevity managerial positions in business decision-making, this study adds empirical evidence on the linkage lengthy mana¬gerial position and quality of business decision-making. Quantitative research (on a population of 2,784 medium and large enterprises [N = 2,784] and the sample of 91 managers (N=91) from 58 companies, using Pearson’s correlation coefficient demonstrated a positive correlation between the independent variables (length of managerial positions) and of each dependent variable. In addition to correlation analysis regression analysis was performed to demonstrate the significance of each variable in the model. The significance of this work is based on the significant overall contribution to upgrading the entrepreneurial and managerial knowledge. First, this paper filled the gap in understanding how longevity of managerial positions affects the decision-making process. Second, the results of quantitative research helped in identifying the desired managers in making decisions for the selection of managers, because named decision is automatically touches in business performance, and the ability of managers is crucial for quality business enterprises.
