Abstract

The paper reviews the use of primary trisomics in chromosomal localization of genes in faba bean (Vicia faba L.). Asynaptic mutants have been used in faba bean as a reliable source for the production of trisomics. An attempt is made to arrange the theoretical information needed for using primary trisomics in localizing genes and to discuss the results of recent studies on this field.
