Sažetak
During paleoradiological research on bioarchaeological remains from Croatian sites Orešac-Luka II and Zagajci, among other, we came across "increased" radiographic opacities in some air sinus(es) and medullar cavities of tubular bones, mimicking possible pathology. CT scan- vs radiography analyses confirmed it was about the sediment/soil residue imaged in the very bone elements. The similar was true for the "altered" opacities observed in a flat bone element (manubrium sterni), however, due to the enclosement of cancellous bone in between the thin cortical bone, tending to mimic possible patological "alteration" in the very bone.
