Contract of agency - limitation period for the claims arising from the contract : [case review]

Abstract
The provisions of the Yugoslav Law on Obligations apply to the limitation period for the claims arising from the contract of agency, because the Yugoslav Maritime and Inland Navigation Law does not contain special provisions for the limitation period in these contracts. The limitation period amounts to three years provided rhat both parties to the contract are legal entities. In the contract of agency the limitation period begins to run from the day when the agent, on behalf of the ship operator, concluded the contract with a charterer.
