Abstract

This study sought to determine the nature of the factor structure and relationships between biochemical and personality variables in adult men and to examine the effect of an exercise program on the structure and the relationships. The pre- and post- physical fitness program factor structures provided a clear picture as to the nature of the link between the biochemical and personality domains. Furthermore, the canonical correlation analysis revealed that the degree of relationship between the two sets were highly significant both before and after the fitness program. Finally, the factor structures and the four canonicals observed at the pre-program test period were altered at the post-program testing-pssibly as a result of the exercise program.
