Sažetak

The data were collected on the sample of 63 males, physical training students who pass judo and wrestling examinations, assessing strength, coordination and precision with 27 motoric tests.
Isolated factors (principal components after Guttman-Kaiser's criterion, oblimin transformation) were interpreted as regulation of excitation intensity, relative trunk strength, speed of simple movements, static-repetitive leg strength and tonus regulation. Sixth factor was not interpretable.
Four regression analyses were accomplished, two for each sport, using first motoric tests and then motoric factors as predictors. Unfortunately, due to the small number of subjects, determination coefficients neither for judo nor for wrestling were significant, though in the case of motoric tests as predictors the determination coefficients were numerically rather great.
The author proposes to investigate the determinants of success in judo and wrestling using a greater number of subjects, and also using tests for assessing other personality characteristics as predictor variables.
