Grass seed production

Sažetak
Today’s seed production does not meet increasing demands of agriculture either in seed quality, quantity or assortment. To assure necessary assortment of grass species, hig-quality seed, reliable seed production and higher yields per unit area, along with stable, high and high-quality production of grass crops, seed production should be organized based on certified grass seed, on large areas, where rational application of modern practices and equipment is possible, together with reproduction of certified seed and experts’ monitoring.
Seed grasses growth and seed production should receive greatest attention throughout the production process, becouse even a slighest failure may jeopardize the entire siccess. Therefore, in places where grass seed crops are of minor importance, full interest of a grower missing, cooperation with experts and production monitoring nonexistant, one cannot expect a desired success.
