Sažetak

The political influence on the interpretation of legal concepts and expression in the sources of international criminal law may take the principle of non-extradiction for political offences as a legal reason for non-extradiction. In such cases, even international crimes, including war crimes and terrorism may be misinterpreted, ordinary crime may become political, and law and legal principles may be reduced to mere illusion. There have been many examples of this, but fortunately there are more examples of international cooperation which are close, or identical, to the correct interpretation of the principles of international criminal law, and even the principles of non-extradiction for political offences. Substantial efforts should be made to harmonize the existing sources of law with these principles, to eliminate existing differences, and to revise ambiguous and overgeneralized formulations in extradiction law. I believe that this will reduce the manipulations with political offences in their application.
