Sažetak
In input-output tables flows of goods and services among productive sectors of the national economy are described. Input-output tables can be used to identify and determine the mutually influential factors of productive sectors, which are at the same time sector producers and sector consumers. Input-output tables are the basic statistical information base of input-output analysis. Unlike classical input-output analysis, which is primarily oriented to assessing the effects of final demand on domestic production, mixed input-output model and hypothetical extraction method, based on input-output tables, allow contribution of sector of interest analyzing and quantification. The review of the relevant literature indicates a relatively modest application of mixed input-output model and hypothetical extraction method in the importance of sector of interest determining. Therefore, the intention of this paper is to systematically and transparently expose the main approaches for determining the direct, indirect and induced effects of the productive sector to the national economy and to point out their numerous analytical capabilities in empirical applications.
