Sažetak
The study was carried out a sample of subjects with an above average motor status, taken from the population of students at the Faculty of Physical Culture, University of Zagreb.
The sample was by method of random selection divided into two groups. The first group of 71 subjects was trained by means of the analytic method, and the second group of 72 subject was trained by synthetic method.
The basic skills on this discipline were taught in both groups 9 hours a day for five days. The skills included the following: getting used to the board with and without sails, turns in place (180 and 360 degrees), start, controlling the sail; turning against the wind, turning with the wind and sailing with the wind.
The effects of application of two different methods in training were assessed by five tests constructed for this purpose, with a scale from 1 to 19. The evaluation of total effects of each model was done by means of the multivariant analyses of variance, and the partial contribution of each of the five variables to the separation of groups, as well as their correlation with the discriminatory function, was established by discriminative analysis.
The results of the first and the second analysis show a significant difference with regard to application of the method, favoring the group trained by synthetic method. Contribution of alll criterion variables to the separation of groups are significant.
The advantage of the synthetic method in this study may be attributed to the appropriatness of the educational process to the structural characteristics of motor activity, the consequent rationalization of the educational process and finally, to the greater motivation of the subjects taught by means of the synthetic method.
