Restoration of an ancient imperial sculpture from Vis

Sažetak

The paper presents the conservation and restoration
works on the imperial sculpture from the collection of
the Archaeological Museum in Split. Various methods
and procedures applied in the process are described, such
as analysis of the marble type, radiographic imaging, 3D
imaging, plastic modelling, reconstruction and support
structure making, which preceded the joining of the parts of
the sculpture, as well as various types of sculpture surface
cleaning.
