Sažetak
Terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington D.C. on September 11, 2001, represented an act of insanity after which nothing will be as it was, as much in the United States as in the rest of the civilized world and the international relations in the whole. For the American society this date signifies an "E.R. wake up call" which managed to convince an average American that the American territory was not immune to destructions and sufferings and that the period of easy-going living and "complete" security was far behind us. On the contrary, the American politics now is faced with "Israeli symptom", i.e. the fact that the society has to go on living in constant fear of war threats, as Washington considers terrorism. Having started the war against terrorism, the Administration has set its own priorities over the long term which could in forthcoming years, maybe even decades, affect the basic principles of the American national
security.
