Sažetak
Research on rain - induced sweet cherry fruit cracking was carried out at the location Jazbina, Zagreb, in the year 2006. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of cultivar and rootstock on this physiological disorder of fruits. The results showed significant differences among sweet cherry cultivars to cracking susceptibility, and that the early ripening cultivars had higher cracking susceptibility than late ripening cultivars. Techlovan cultivar showed the highest, while Sam Kordia, Karina, Oktavia, Hedelfingen and Regina cultivars, the lowest cracking susceptibility. We also observed sweet cherry rootstock influence on cracking susceptibility of Lapins cultivar, and the results showed that rootstocks had a significant influence on sweet cherry cracking susceptibility. Cultivar Lapins showed the highest cracking susceptibility when grown on Pi-Ku 4.20 rootstock, and the lowest cracking susceptibility when grown on F 12/1 rootstock.
