Abstract

The purpose of organic production is to protect human health, nature and the environment, as well as end users.. The aim of the paper is to analyze the environment and the most important characteristics of organic production in order to identify strategic factors that can influence future development. The share of areas under organic production in relation to the total used agricultural areas in the period from 2007 to 2021 increased by 7.63 percentage point. Organic production and the possibility of creating organic products of greater added value based on the knowledge and skills of producers can result in innovative products with the aim of achieving sustainable production and realizing the competitive advantage of organic producers.
