Abstract
The range distribution of δ–rays produced by heavy nuclei of energy ≈ 5 GeV/n in Fuji ET–7B nuclear emulsion has been investigated using data from an exposure to primary cosmic rays in a balloon–borne plastic–emulsion chamber. The estimated δ–ray densities per 100 µm for projectiles of charges Z = 14, 20 and 26 are in accord with the low–range simulation results of Ichimura et al.
