Codification, vector for improving the quality of the standard: the example of the General Civil Service Code

Sažetak
In this paper, emphasis will be placed on the importance of codification and its effect on
improving its quality, readability, and clarity. In relation to this, a specific example - the public
service code will be focused on. The provisions of this particular code came into force 1 March
2022. The proposal of the code was presented by the previous government in prior consultation
with the French State Council during the very difficult conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic and the
resulting state of emergency.
