Sažetak
The text entitled "Croatian Poetic Practices 2000–2010" seeks to analyse, describe and identify the character of the poetry scene of the 2000s, the dominant tendencies of its poetic practice and theory, and paradigmatic authors and their poetics. The analysis of anthologies and theoretical texts published during the 2000s, of the leading poetry magazine "Poezija" ["Poetry"], and of the poems of ten paradigmatic poets results in the conclusion that the 2000s as a whole had no dominant poetics. Nevertheless, in the first half of the decade so-called realistic poetry does stand out to some extent. However, it was the prompt and wide reaction of critics, as well as of the poetic practice, to the dominance of the poetics of realistic poetry that enabled the author to examine the poetry scene, and the breadth of its poetic and generational diversity and value. The conclusion is that the most important role in raising awareness of the pluralism in Croatian poetry and its theory was played by several anthologies and poetries, theoretical texts published in these anthologies and elsewhere, intensive activity in the field of criticism, and the magazine "Poezija". The magazine’s editorial policy not only raised awareness of the pluralism of the poetry and theory scene, but also encouraged it programmatically by making sure that poetry is contributed by all the active generations of poets and theorists at the time. Another conclusion is that several theorists and critics who discussed the poetry of the 1990s also discussed the poetry that was written in the 2000s, and that their descriptions and typologies of the poetry of the 1990s are generally also applicable to the poetry of the 2000s. To analyse the poetry scene of the 2000s, the approach used in this text was inductive – it gives a detailed outline of the theoretical contexts, it analyses the poetry of ten paradigmatic poets and, finally, it draws more general conclusions concerning the entire period observed. It was noticed that only a small number of poetics of individual poets can be said to be of a certain type of poetry and that there is an entire spectrum of hybrid, composite poetics that do not belong to any "pure" poetic framework. Based on this, this text concludes that what dominated the poetry scene of the 2000s were composite poetics with a peculiar combination of poetic determinants in each of the most important poets, that these poetics portray an extremely complex landscape in terms of both poetry and poetics, and that, based on this poetic complexity, extremely valuable and original poetic voices emerged.
