Sažetak

The British taxi 1729 inspired a famous anecdote in mathematics and led to the discovery of taxicab numbers that trace their origins back to 1918 and what appeared to be a passing insight by the brilliant Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The number 1729 has many interesting mathematical properties and has managed to find its place even in popular culture
