Sažetak
Many children with brightest minds are often given medical diagnoses that indicate behavioural or mental problems without researching reasons for that kind of behaviour. These common misdiagnoses stem from an ignorance among medical professionals about specific social and emotional characteristics of gifted children which are then mistakenly assumed by these professionals to be signs of pathology. After giving the wrong diagnose the medical professionals often prescribe them medicines or psychological therapy with the aim of changing them or make them more acceptable in school, family or society generally. Unfortunately, child who got the wrong diagnose is getting the "etiquette" which in result lowers his self - esteem, and has the after effect which is unnecessary and deleteriously for him, his family and society. Also, after wrong diagnose, this child is placed in school programs which are not beneficial to his needs, but contrary.
