Sažetak
The radio medium is experiencing major changes in the 21st century. Its primary audience is getting older, and cars as the most common place of listening offer more and more options for music consumption. Despite this, radio shows stability and resilience. At the level of the European Union, it is consumed by 85% of listeners per week (AER, 2023). Along with numerous challenges due to the digitization process, with the launch of ChatGPT at the end of 2022, radio faced the possibility of applying artificial intelligence in the content creation. The aim of the paper is to present the available software for virtual broadcasting, with an emphasis on technologies that enable the improvement of efficiency, quality and interactivity. Along with a comprehensive overview of previous experiences in the application of AI on the world radios, the paper also provides a case study of the only application of AI in the Croatian broadcasting. This is the first ChatGPT radio host on the national commercial radio bravo!. Ultimately, the paper points out the challenges of implementing AI technology in the radio industry, including ethical aspects and the need to maintain the human factor in broadcasting.
