A New Perspective on the Kajkavian Editio Princeps

Sažetak
This paper provides an overview of previous research on Decretum by Ivan Pergošić. Following a century of studies on Pergošić’s work – research thematically linked to the beginnings of printing in northern Croatia, legal texts, and legal terminology – further avenues of investigation are proposed. Several directions for future research are suggested. The first involves quantitative studies that would more precisely support or refute claims made in earlier research. The second focuses on areas that have been only marginally covered so far, with particular emphasis on syntactic and textological levels. One possible approach to such research is elaborated.
