Abstract

The author writes about the creative impulse of writers, about their opposition to theorists, the relationship between reality and fiction, the relationship between literature and classifications, the life of the author in his works, about the unteachability of literary writing, which is today faced with the challenge of artificial intelligence, about truth versus ideology in literature, about the creation of worlds in literature, and about the shaping of literature in language. The Croatian language and its literature are the core of Croatian identity. Therefore, the school subject of Croatian language, in which literature is also taught, should be made as attractive and stimulating as possible. The Croatian Language Act supports Croatian cultural identity. Pupils / students should be presented with the fullness and splendor of the Croatian language. This Act should protect Croatian from foreign encroachments and from globalization pressures that impoverish it, because the Croatian language has always been a fortress and a ray of light in historical eclipses.
