Sažetak

With these In memoriam texts, we pay tribute to three distinguished experts and professors – Academician Ivo Petricioli (1925-2009), Ksenija Radulić (1933-1975), and Marijana Kovačević (1977-2015) – whose work left a lasting mark on the history of art and the protection of cultural heritage in Zadar and Dalmatia. Ivo Petricioli, through his interdisciplinary approach, educational work, and numerous scholarly publications, made a lasting impact on the academic and scientific community, leaving a rich body of work on the art of Zadar and Dalmatia. Ksenija Radulić, as a conservator and director of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, a pioneer of underwater archaeology, and a dedicated professor, advanced the protection of cultural heritage and educated new generations of experts. Marijana Kovačević, with her research on goldsmithing and precious metals, scientific approach, and key role in the repatriation of the stolen cross from the church of St Francis in Zadar, left a significant legacy in the academic community as well as cultural heritage preservation. All three scholars left an indelible mark on the scholarly, academic, and cultural history of Zadar, inspiring future generations of art historians.
