Sažetak
This paper offers a review of contemporary visual art viewed through the lens of lifelong education, ranging from formal to informal education. The aim of this paper is to bring the Croatian educational system closer, along with the views of five contemporary artists who, through their work and contribution, represent the system they come from, namely: preschool education, compulsory primary education, secondary education, higher education, and the views of a freelance artist who is in the process of lifelong education. Semi-structured interviews were used for the purposes of the research. The research results provide a reflection of the respondents based on their practice and present views derived from experience related to working within the educational system. The respondents offer guidelines for improving the practice of artists in the education system.
