The Student-citizen protest in Serbia: theoretical summary of the current situation

Sažetak
The differences between the current student-citizen protest in Serbia and the former protests are discussed in the paper. The differences are explained by the influence of the hegemony of global epochal consciousness. The social limits of consciousness of three protests, three zeitgeist in 1968, 1989 and 2024, were considered. The most important thing in the last protest is that the national unity was not capable of suppressing the civil disobedience of the protest in 2024. The goals of the current protest are democratization of the public, freedom of the media and accountability of the corrupt government. The change of the whole remained outside the demands of the protest. At the center of the requests is the change of only the procedural segment. There is nothing impossible or utopia in the protest. The demands of the protest are legalistic, irreconcilability has been shifted to the political, and its economic foundation has been neglected.
