Abstract
To address the leakage failure of the nonstandard sealing gasket frame‒graphite interface of coupling inspection equipment under high pressure, a multilevel nesting seal structure based on a composite flexible graphite layer of periodic triangular teeth is proposed. Using the L27 (3)4 orthogonal test method and Pyron data fitting, a quantitative regression model of structural parameters was established to analyze the influences of the skeleton thickness, arc radius, wave tooth depth and wave tooth pitch on gasket deformation. The results show that the skeleton thickness has the greatest influence, followed by the wave tooth pitch, and the wave tooth depth and arc radius have the least influence. The nonlinear deformation regression model is optimized by considering the interaction of key structures, and its effectiveness is verified via analysis of variance. The deformation of the gasket is 0.54 mm through ANSYS simulation, and the correctness of the model is verified. The workbench simulation shows that the compression rate of the optimized gasket reaches 24.0%, and the rebound rate reaches 87.8%, meeting the national standard. The hydrostatic test results indicate that the sealing performance of the proposed structure is better than that of the traditional gasket under a pressure of 31.5 MPa, meeting the working condition requirements. This study provides a reference for high-pressure seals and special flange designs.
