Sažetak
For many years the use of rapeseed oil cake has presented a big challenge for researchers and nutritionists concerning its inclusion in feed mixtures for different categories of poultry. The main goal of this research was to establish the influence of 0% (T-0), 5% (T-5) and 10% (T-10) portion of rapeseed oil cake of domestic cultivar Bristol in feed mixtures on the production of 120 Nicholas male turkeys divided in 12 groups until the age of 9 weeks. The final body weights were 6598.72, 6701.25 and 6510.53 g. The portion of 5% of rapeseed oil cake resulted with significantly (p<0.05) higher body weights of turkeys in relation to 10%, but the differences between portions of 0 and 5%, and 0 and 10% didn’t differ significantly (p>0.05). The feed conversion ratio was 2.52, 2.33 and 2.26 kg/kg, and mortality of turkeys were 2.5, 0 and 5% respectively. Taking into consideration above mentioned, it can be recommended to use the 5% portion of rapeseed oil cake in feed mixture for hybrid turkeys.
