Sažetak
This study investigates effects of different oils (soybean oil, linseed oil and Pronova oil preparations) supplemented to broiler diets on the deposition of fatty acids in lipids of breasts and thighs. The research was carried out on 160 male broilers of Ross 308 provenience from the 22nd to 42nd day of age. Broilers were randomly divided into four groups (each with 40 broilers). From 22nd to 25th day, broilers were fed diets that differed in the type of supplemented oil. Group 1 was given diets supplemented with 3% of soybean oil, group 2 had diets with 3% of linseed oil, group 3 and group 4 were given diets supplemented with 2.90% of linseed oil and 0.10% of Pronova Biocare Epax (PBE). Fatty acids content in diets and in fats was determined with Chrompack CP-9000 chromatograph. Fatty acids were presented in percentage of total fatty acids (myristic, palmitic, stearic, SFA, oleic, MUFA, linoleic, arachidonic, n-6 PUFA, αLNA, EPA, DPA, DHA, n-3 PUFA and n-6/n-3 PUFA). Significance of differences between groups was determined by means of variance analysis (ANOVA). Deposition of fatty acids in breast and thigh muscles was described by linear regression equation (y=a+bx) and coefficient of linear correlation (r). Feeding broilers on diets supplemented with linseed oil, as well as mixture of linseed oil and Pronova preparations from 22nd to 35th day of fattening resulted in statistically very highly significant (P<0.001) increase in the αLNA content and total n-3 PUFA in lipids of breast and thigh muscles if compared to their portion in broilers of group 1. Moreover, if compared to group 1, groups 2, 3 and 4 had significantly better ratio of n-6/n-3 PUFA in lipids of breast and thigh muscles. High and positive correlation coefficients were determined between the αLNA content (r=0.96 and 0.98), total n-3 PUFA (r=0.97 for both) and the n-6/n-3 PUFA ratio (r=0.99 for both) in diets and in lipids of breast and thigh muscles.
