Abstract
The paper presents an action research on the impact of collaborative
learning implementation in blended educational environment. In contemporary higher
education hybrid educational environment is often used, a system where e-learning
and traditional learning are employed jointly, together with synchronous and
asynchronous discussions and face-to-face meetings of participants. The method of
collaborative learning was used actively during a semester in the Pedagogy of the
Gifted, an undergraduate course for the students of pedagogy. By using this method,
students worked in small groups to achieve a shared goal. The research attempted to
give answers to two research questions. The first question is related to the level and
way of implementing collaborative learning in blended environment. The second
research question refers to the frequency of higher level learning in collaborative
activities with respect to the New Bloom’s Taxonomy. The research results are
grounded on the analysis of forum discussions which took place on the Moodle
system.
