Abstract

The European Police College (CEPOL) is functioning as a network of national police training bodies, respectively educational institutes of the Member States of the European Union. Annually, the CEPOL organizes between 60 to 100 different courses, seminars, conferences and meetings with various topics in the field of security. The CEPOL is not a classical high police educational institution at the European Union level, but should be observed as a network of high national police training bodies of the European Union. Education is conducted at the police institutions of the EU member countries.
In this paper the authors give basic information about the CEPOL as well as the current and possible future forms of cooperation between the Croatian police education system with the CEPOL. The authors’ intention is to point out on a simple and practical way what can significantly affect to the ability and capacity of cooperation between the Croatian police educational institutions with the CEPOL.
