Abstract

In 1616 Matija Divković (1563-1631) published in Venice his work Dottrina Christiana breve in Bosnian alphabet. This first edition of Divković’s work is a real rarity not only in the libraries of the Slavic world but in general. Therefore, the copy of this work, which is kept in Vatican library under the code number Loretto VII 5, represents a kind of philological curiosity, especially because this copy according to the Divković’s biography never before was described and investigated. The phenomenon of this book is that this is the only copy that was published in 1616 and still has its first and last pages. Moreover, on the last page there is an author’s note. This article describes the Vatican copy of this work.
