Abstract

The reform of the European chemical safety legislation has also a considerable impact in Croatia, which has just started the process of harmonisation of its legal acts in order to implement European regulations dealing with control of chemicals (REACH) and classification, labelling and packaging of chemicals (CLP). This article is a short review of the basic principles set in the EU chemical regulations and their adoption in Croatia including the most expected benefits on safety and health protection at the workplace.
