Abstract
Countries in this region, that is, the countries of former Yugoslavia, confronted with many challenges in their history but the events related to the last decade show about how these countries tend to progress in the pursuit of peace and prosperity. Approaching or joining the European Union that also faces many economic and social problems, these countries are, or are trying to share the same philosophy with EU countries so inevitably refer to the strategy of the European Commission for smart and sustainable development, Europe 2020, which states innovation as one of the most important priorities for the development of European countries. As a necessary development for the countries in the region, and this would mean that they must introduce drastic changes in the way of functioning, we come to the origin the word innovation (Lat. Innovatio which means innovation, change, modification), which operates in the service of so necessary and desired development. Innovation, and the process of creating and using creativity as the main tool provides a precondition for the emergence and functioning of enterprises in general and thus generates and manages the development that comes from the entrepreneurship as one of the key preconditions not only for development of countries but also for the sustainability of development.
