Abstract
In order to include Croatian universities in Bologna process and the European Higher Education Area, mobility of staff, students and graduates will be motivated as well as financing of the international cooperation of all actors in higher education and science system in Croatia. This goal will be obtained through the Lifelong learning program of the European Union. Understanding the importance of entrepreneurship is rising. Many universities in Europe have well founded programmes in entrepreneurship. Universities are conducting extensive studies about it. They folllow up these researches of entrepreneurship by educational courses for students. Only few universities are included in the real process of creating businesses. Only a scientific and educational system of good quality will enable incre ased competition that will make a stable economy. New product making should take care of the environment. Entrepreneurship should be founded on new technologies and innovations. That can be realized by innovation and hard work. At the Polytechnic in Varaždin students can listen the course „Basics of entrepreneurship“ in their fourth semester. After completing the course students were asked to complete the following questionnaire; „do I have the characteristics of an entrepreneur“. This paper statistically analyzes student answers.
