Abstract

The paper deals with the way the entries in dialectal dictionaries should be
arranged in order to provide all necessary accentological data. Several unsatisfactory
examples from Čakavian dialectal dictionaries are presented. General
problems in the description of Čakavian (and other Croatian dialects’) accentual
systems are also discussed. Finally, the satisfactory form of entries concerning
accentuation is suggested.
