Abstract

Analyzing the usage of the term entrepreneurship in economic science, based on Schumpeter’s analysis in »The History of Economic Analysis« (1954) since Cantillon to P. Drucker (the father of the management science), the author shows the difference of that usage and identification of the entrepreneur with the capitalist. The matter is in the different character in profit and successful entrepreneurial decision and constant profit from capital. (19 century). The recent theories distinguish clearly that there is a set of different capabilities, individual, managerial, organisational, like about a new business philosophy. Meanwhile, it is a meta-economic category. The entrepreneurship is »the knowledge based on praxis«, (Drucker), but only connected with innovative organisational culture, and new type of management, in the system, of liberal values and ideas it can improve the economy. The difference in forms and types of entrepreneurship, that from 19 century and today's, basically does not change its nature. During the uncertain and crisis times (recession in 1980’s) in developed countries of the world, the entrepreneurs spirit is articulated as the way of the revival of economic activities, and in the same manager it is developed in the post-socialistic countries. But, first of all, it is a cultural phenomena, and the entrepreneurship (especially individual) in economically developed countries in relation to our society, shows the difficulties of successful model application.
