The Distribution of the Species Corydalis acaulis (Wulfen) Pers. (Fumariaceae) in the Flora of Croatia

Abstract

In the older floristic literature referring to Croatia, four species of the genus Corydalis Vent. sect. Corydalis, namely C. capnoides C. lutea, C. ochroleuca and C. acaulis are listed for the flora of Croatia. Recently, it has been found that there are only two species, C. ochroleuca and C. acaulis, in Croatian flora.
A horological analysis of the species C. acaulis has shown that it is an endemic Illyrian-Adriatic species, and the largest part of its area lies on the outher chain of Adriatic islands, which represent remains of Plaistocene Adriatic coast.
