Abstract

The phytosociological-typological analysis of the vegetation of the Special Ornithologie Reservation of Krapje Đol in Croatia shows that this vegetation belongs to classes Lemnetea, Stratiotetea, Potamogetonetea, Phragmitetea and Querco-Fagetea comprising 12 associations. The water- plant communities (Spirodelo-Salvinietum natantis, Lemnetum trisulcae, Myriophyllo-Nupharetum) are mostly developed fragmentarily due to the advanced process of choking water basin with vegetation that, on the other hand, facilitated the development of the pool and swamp plant communities of the alliance Phragmition which is represented with 6 associations. The shrub vegetation is represented with the ass. Corno-Ligustretum.
As far as the understanding of the width of particular associations is concerned, we represented the standpoint of the associations conceived in a narrower sense which, in our opinion, gives a more realistic picture of real relations in nature.
