Abstract
In location Duvanjsko polje - Kovači the intensive plantations of blackberry are going to be planted, for what providing quality planting material is necessary. In the planting material bought in 2009 the pathological drying of blackberry shoots is observed . On the basis of the symptoms of disease and morphological characteristics of cultured isolates (appearance, colour and size of conidia, pycnidia appearance and layout, appearance and size of the dispute) the cause of this decline as a blackberry shoots is identified, and that is Septocyta ruborum (Bk) Petr., (sin. Rhabdospora ramealis (Roberge ex Desm.) Sacc. - Purple Leaf Blackberry. To our knowledge, this is the first finding fungi Septocyta ruborum in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although this type of fungal disease has not been registered in BiH so far , it is present in the region. The disease has been recorded in Croatia and Serbia, where over the past decade, often reported major damage due to infection in intensive orchards, blackberry.The study describes the isolation and identification of parasites, and a brief review of control measures and protection against outcrops of purple freckle
