Abstract

Most of perennial vegetables are annual. Still, there are a few species that will stay in a vegetable garden for several years. These species are called perennial vegetables because they require long- term growing. Some of perennial species are: asparagus, rhubarb and artichokes. Asparagus and rhubarb can be grown in both continental and costal areas, whereas artichokes are grown in coastal areas exclusively.
