Abstract
This is a book review of "Girls’ Series Fiction and American Popular Culture" edited by LuElla D'Amico. The book was published in 2016. It features works that reflect on the different ways in which children and young people are portrayed in popular culture. This is an international series which recognizes how literature that features children and young people shapes readers. The main topics in the book range from gender, race, and class to religion, law, and other themes.
