MODEL OFINDIVIDUAL AND GROUP WORK WITH ELDERLYREFUGEES

Abstract

The paper contains the description offive dijferent levels of intervention among eld- erly in exile. These levels can be presented as a pyramid, at the top ofwhich are interven- tions typicalfor an intensive psychotherapeutic treatment, needed by the least number of refugees. Intervention that ojfers emotional and social support needed by most refugees from the base ofthe pyramid. Dijferent levels of intervention are described as the working programs with older refugees in a refugee camp. Particular attention is given to the tech- nique of remembering.
