Abstract

In Croatia, in the last years, the total area under organic agriculture, as well as the area under organic orchards, has increased. By analyzing the supply of direct and indirect sales channels in City of Zagreb in 2017, domestic ecological fruit primarily is represented on direct channels (markets). In the indirect channels (hypermarkets and organic food stores), the supply of fruits is higher, but it is primarily from the EU countries. The supply of domestic ecological fruits in the city of Zagreb is not satisfactory, but since the supply is consisted of perennial crops, we can expect an increase in supply, homogeneous quality, sufficient quantities, and presence in other sales channels.
