Abstract

This publication presents the results of the international collaboration between the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb and Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana during the summer semester of academic year 2016/17 focusing on planning the southeastern part of Zagreb - the area surrounding Radnička street. The teaching aim was to research into possible urban-planning development scenarios of the entire urban stretch along Radnička - from the airport to the city centre. The publication brings forward the opinions of the supervisors, methodology and the achieved results. The selection of the most successful urban scenarios are accompanied by texts and graphic representations. The presented projects encompass 23 projects developed by Zagreb students attending a course in City Planning and 6 projects by Slovenian students attending a course Design with the seminar. They represent a variety of interesting and creative approaches to urban planning and stimulate discussions on systematic city planning.
