A technical guide to condition monitoring: Where to begin?

Abstract
This article provides guidelines on how to start implementing transformer condition monitoring programs in order to get the most out of the program and successfully prevent failures. The author reminds us which questions need to be asked, which failure modes and monitoring equipment should be considered, how to validate collected data, and what are the best practices.
