Abstract

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina recently hosted a presentation of the Anthology of the selected writings written by the art historian Vladimir Mitrović (1964) from Novi Sad. The book spans a period between 1994 and 2014. The selected works provide valuable insight into a variety of Mitrović’s interests encompassing historiography-related topics, critiques, chronicles, and essays on culture. Although varying in length and covering a wide array of topics, his works are, however, based on uniform criteria that are equally applicable to both the earlier and contemporary architecture of Vojvodina. As Mitrović’s writings have been scattered around over time, it has been increasingly difficult to reach them. This event therefore confirms that public presentation of his work was entirely justified and stimulating.
