Abstract

Coal-mining plant Pozzo Littorio was built in the period between 1939 and 1942 at the peak of the most significant economic development of the area of Labin between the two world wars. Unlike the housing estate of Pozzo Littorio d’Arsia, the industrial complex has remained completely unexplored. Therefore the article establishes the building phases and architectural features of the original buildings of the complex, their designers as well as changes during the seventy years of their existence.
