Abstract

Professor emeritus, dr.sc. Nikola Filipović (1934), the eminent Croatian architect, one of the oldest living professors of the Faculty of Architecture, a participant and witness to many decades of development of our institution and our profession. On the occasion of the 75th
anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture (1994), he wrote a review on the development of Croatian architecture and the changes that marked the development of our Faculty. The text has remained unpublished. However, it is still relevant today in all its aspects. It is original, interesting, and readable. So we have decided to publish it with some minor editing on this occasion. It stands as authentic testimony and reminiscence of a former student, then a distinguished professor, head of the department, and iconic dean of our Faculty.
